Consider the case of Maria, CanGo's Director of Human Resources. As you'll see in the video, she's puzzled by the fact that although her CanGo stock is valued at about the same price per share as that of a local utility company, her stock pays no dividends while that of the utility company does. Consequently, she wonders whether she should sell some of her CanGo stock and use the proceeds to buy some utility shares. Would this be a wise move for Maria to make? What does she need to know before she can make an informed decision? Get ready to use your knowledge of finance in general, and of stock valuation in particular, to help Maria sort out her confusion.
